How it works
A well-built built-in is indistinguishable from the original architecture of the home. We design every built-in around the specific room — its ceiling height, trim profile, wall texture, and the way the light hits it — so the finished piece feels like it was always meant to be there.

We evaluate the space, note trim profiles, ceiling heights, and wall conditions, and discuss how you plan to use the built-in.

Drawings showing dimensions, shelf layout, door and drawer configuration, and how the piece integrates with existing trim and molding.

What to think about before planning a built-in for any room.
Scribing to irregular surfaces
Walls and ceilings are rarely perfectly flat or square. Quality built-ins are scribed — cut to follow the exact contour of the surface — so there are no gaps.
Matching existing trim
The built-in should look like it was always there. That means matching the profile of your existing baseboards, door casings, and crown molding exactly.
Adjustable vs. fixed shelving
Fixed shelves are stronger and look more furniture-like. Adjustable shelves offer flexibility. Most quality built-ins use a mix of both.
Lighting integration
Interior LED lighting — whether strip lights on shelves or puck lights inside cabinets — adds significant impact and is much easier to integrate during the build than after.
