Raw loft conversion with exposed brick, timber trusses, and custom open shelving integrated into the original architecture.

This was a deliberate decision to leave the loft raw — exposed brick walls, visible timber trusses, and whitewashed wood plank floors. The brief was to add storage and function without imposing a finished aesthetic on a space that had genuine architectural character. We built a series of open shelves into the eaves that follow the pitch of the roof, using simple construction-grade pine finished with a white pickling stain that echoes the floors. The result is storage that feels like it grew out of the space rather than being installed in it. A custom multi-piece shelving system designed for an exposed brick loft — built from solid wood with an asymmetric open-shelf layout that echoes the industrial character of the space. The modular design allows components to be arranged and rearranged as the space evolves.
